Funding Requests for Independent Medical Education and Scientific Programs, Charitable Contributions, Sponsorships and Patient Education Programs
Requests for funding are separated into multiple categories. Please be sure to read the category descriptions below to ensure that you submit the appropriate application.
Medical education grant: funds provided by Elan to a scientific or medical institution for the purpose of providing independent medical educational support for both continuing medical education/continuing education (CME/CE) and Non-CME/CE programs.
Charitable contribution: a financial gift or other means of support provided to a Charitable Organization not including product donation and patient assistance programs. A charitable organization is a bona fide not-for-profit organization that is tax exempt (e.g. 501 (c) (3) or 501 (c) (4) organization) under the provisions of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code or applicable international code.
Sponsorship: financial support provided to an organization for a specific activity or event (often accompanied by recognition, booth space, complimentary or discounted conference registration or other similar benefits).
Patient education: financial support provided to an organization for a specific activity or event, where education relating to Elan’s specific area of therapeutic focus is provided to patients, their families or caregivers.
